Station One houses Engine 2231, Quad 2241, Truck 2251, and Rescue 2281 with three of these units being staffed by volunteers.
The Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District is one of nineteen fire departments that make up the Jefferson County and Louisville Metro Fire Service. Ours is the largest district and third largest department in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, behind only the cities of Louisville and Lexington. Our protection area is approximately 56 square miles encompassing over 25% of the county’s population. We are a combination department with over 100 volunteers and 36 paid suppression staff working together as a highly dedicated and professional team responding to over 4000 runs per year.
